Calina came into our home when my son wasn’t even a week old, and I couldn’t have survived the newborn stage without her. My husband and I would breathe a sigh of relief when she would appear at our door. She gave me the confidence and encouragement I needed as a first-time mom, I don’t know what I would have done without her emotional support. Her presence was simply invaluable!

Your placenta is a powerhouse of nutrients that can be a remarkable aid for y our postpartum recovery.

When preparing your placenta for consumption I will thoroughly clean and inspect it, make art prints, and a cord keepsake before processing it. Using the Traditional Chinese Medicine method your placenta is gently steamed with lemon, ginger, and cayenne pepper, which are thought to enhance the benefits of placenta medicine. The steaming process is used to destroy any bacteria that may be present, while still retaining all the vital nutrients. The placenta is then dehydrated for 12-24 hrs to further remove any pathogens, before grinding it into a fine powder and encapsulating it into pill form. If you choose to have a tincture or healing balm made this is done just after the placenta is thoroughly cleaned, using alcohol for tincture or slow a heating method for the balm. The tincture is a wonderful way to extend the use and benefits of placenta medicine and can be used to support you through colds, flu s, fatigue and help you through the return of the menstrual cycle after childbirth. The tincture has a very long or indefinite shelf life and with proper storage can be a very helpful ally for menopause as well. The placenta balm can be applied topically to skin irritation, cuts, burns, diaper rash, hemorrhoids, and much more. I have heard of many creative uses throughout the years -such as an eye cream and nipple butter! All the ingredients used are of the highest quality available and free of common allergens such as gluten and soy. Organic whenever possible.

“We are so glad we found Calina to support us starting at 2 months old with sleep.  We were given grace and support every step of the way.  We are both working parents and getting our little one to sleep well was both important to us and our busy routine.  Calina helped identify simple habits we could introduce that laid a foundation to create a great napper. She was able to build out a detailed plan and break some bad habits we had unknowingly established early on. We now have a baby that sleeps through the night and takes great naps in her crib!  It has been such a pleasure to work with Calina.  She was also able to support breastfeeding issues when the baby wasn’t getting enough to eat before our bedtime routine.  I had no idea that just some little adjustments like feeding timing could help our success with sleeping through the night.  Early on we joked that we wanted a baby that would nap for 90 minutes and be awake for 90 minutes through the day…well it worked, our little love does an amazing job napping on a schedule. One of the best decisions we made was working with Calina on our infant/baby sleep plan. “
